What does a personal training session look like?
Sessions run 60 minutes with a strength and conditioning coach, one-on-one or in a small group. If you rehabbed here, your coach starts from your discharge notes; if not, the first session finds out what you can do.
Then it is plain strength work: warm up, lift, get coached, record the numbers. Loads progress, because that is what makes a body durable.
Who this is for, and who it isn’t.
Good fit
- You have been discharged from therapy and want the last phase to happen.
- You want to lift with somebody who knows your history watching.
- You prefer a coached small group to training alone.
- You are an athlete between seasons who needs sport-specific strength work.
Not the right first stop
- Anything painful or urgent. Chest pain, sudden weakness or numbness belongs with a physician or emergency room; current pain needs a physical therapy evaluation first.
- Anyone wanting a diagnosis, hands-on treatment or an imaging opinion. The coaches are not clinicians.
Get an athlete screen from a doctor of physical therapy to avoid any injury, hone in on strengths & weaknesses and create a program that’s optimized for your specific needs
Meet your strength coach and set goals, milestones and align your training with your other sports/hobbies/life events.
Start your training process, work your butt off. Assess your progress, adjust your training with your coach.
Achieve your goals, set new ones. Get back to training. Repeat.
“Streamline is great because they help you recover, but they don’t make you come back repeatedly and unnecessarily. Ryan is extremely knowledgeable and helpful, then gives you recommendations (and even videos) for continued recovery at home.”Shelley M. · patient testimonial

The people who end up filling this out are rarely in the worst pain of their life. They’re just done working around it, done picking the errand that doesn’t require the stairs. If that’s the stage you’re at, this is the part where you stop researching and start.
