Phoenix, AZ · What we treat
Say What Hurts. We’ll Take It From There
Nobody walks in already speaking clinical. Find the sentence below that sounds like your week, or the body part that’s been complaining, and read what it usually turns out to be. There are twenty-six of them, grouped the way we think about them.
Most of what brings people in isn’t a diagnosis, it’s a sentence: the stairs that suddenly need a handrail, the bathroom you locate before you sit down. Below are the twenty-six conditions we treat in Phoenix, each with a short summary and a page of its own.
They fall into three groups. Back, neck and head covers the spine and the pain it refers, from a stiff neck to headaches to nerve pain down an arm. Joints and sport covers the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and ankle, plus sudden injuries like a torn ACL or a lift at work gone wrong. Pelvic health covers the nine conditions people are least likely to say out loud, treated in a private room by a clinician trained for it.
None of this is a diagnosis; it’s context, so you’re not walking in blind. The evaluation is what finds your actual cause, by testing rather than guessing.
What all twenty-six share is that ignored pain rarely stays the same size: the body compensates, and the compensation becomes its own problem. Earlier is easier, and none of them need imaging or a referral to start.
The conditions
Abdominal Pain
Chronic discomfort, pain after surgery, or strain that shows up with movement, the kind that makes simple daily activities harder than they should be.

Constipation, diarrhea, incontinence, or pelvic pain and discomfort that interfere with your daily life.
Learn more ⟶Concussion

Not sure which of the twenty-six is yours.
That’s the more common starting point, honestly. Most people who call don’t have a name for what’s wrong, they have a sentence about what it’s stopped them from doing: the walk they cut short, the workout they’ve quietly avoided for a month, the thing they’ve stopped volunteering to carry. That sentence is enough.
It’s more than enough, in fact, it’s exactly what a cause-first evaluation is built to take from vague to specific, with a Doctor of Physical Therapy one-on-one for 60 minutes, not a rushed guess based on where you’re pointing. Plenty of people also arrive with two of these at once, a stiff neck and headaches, a hip and a knee, a back and a pelvic floor, and one evaluation sorts out which is driving the other.
If you’d rather start from the treatment than the symptom, the eighteen services ⟶ behind these conditions are listed in one place. Either way, the next step is the same: book the appointment and describe it in your own words. We’ll tell you what it usually is, what we’d test for, and what the plan would look like, before you commit to anything.
Put it in writing.
Five short questions. A real person calls you back, usually within two business hours, with times that fit your week.
The people who end up filling this out are rarely in the worst pain of their life. They’re just done working around it, done picking the errand that doesn’t require the stairs. If that’s the stage you’re at, this is the part where you stop researching and start.
Consider it filed.
